This website allows users to post their new creative mash-ups. It allows other to be able to download the music that they like or are interested in which is shaping the flow of new media. This portrays the circulation aspect of enabling participation. This has a big relation to the expression aspect of enabling participation. This website also looks at the commerce aspect of music with the fact that you are able to download music for free.

Sounds like mash uptown is a different type of simulation and performance based site using appropriation in creating new music. Giving the ability to allow people to download their songs or mashups gives makes it more available to a broader audience rather than just a specific community.

After reading this i found a few things that were interesting. Users are able to download music of their preference. There are some examples of appropriation because the mashup are samples from different songs which can also be a remix.
