Project# 1 – Intro

Music has evolved throughout it’s history.  There have been a number of different aspects that have changed.  One aspect in particular is digital media.  Digital media has really broadened the way people can view music.  It has given the producer a number of different outlets to spread their music to the consumers.  It has also altered other aspects of music that brings out opportunities for more creators to express themselves and have a better output through digital media.  In this paper I will argue how digital media has affected the way consumers are able to recreate original songs and make them into remixes.  I will discuss this using different terms from readings and class discussions.  The digital media has brought forth creative amplification.  This term that I have created means the expansion, through digital culture, of the number of people able to express themselves artistically.  This really relates to how digital culture has broadened the ability for consumers to create remixes.  Not only has digital media affected, music but it has also affected participatory media.  It has allowed people the ability to be more engaged with the creator and also the ability for the producer to get feedback for their work both positively and negatively.
